Do you want to take your dance skills to the next level? Want to train and have the opportunity to perform on stage? Salsa Mundial is happy to announce a call for auditions for our Salsa Training Team for 2024!
This performance team will be a 6-month choreography course before the first local show. Consequent performances will be all over Florida especially at Orlando Salsa Congress, Just Dance Tampa Bay Festival, and Sarasota Salsa & Bachata Festival! Our goal is to leave you a much better dancer than before and form lasting friendships with your fellow salsa teammates.
The audition will be a short choreography that will test you on some crucial techniques. Other information on cost, schedule, etc, will be provided on the day of the audition. Please bring your dance shoes and water bottle.

Join us for a deep dive into foundations of Contact Improvisation every second Sunday.
Contact improv is a dance form that explores touch, weight sharing, and finding a flow state with other bodies. Beyond the physical, it’s a beautiful way to practice listening, trust, following impulses, and cultivating playfulness.
These workshops are a chance to learn and deepen CI skills, with a combination of exercises and open dancing to integrate what you've learned.
October’s workshop focuses on how we physically communicate consent. We’ll practice saying no, yes, yes and - through our bodies. We’ll explore ways to invite another into a dance and how to read responses through body language.

Great news. We were able to coordinate and reserve space at the High Springs Civic Center for a dance next week. Come join us for a Holiday Dance to celebrate the Holidays.
More dance events are planned for 2024. Sneak peak, our first dance will be on January 19th at the Lions Club. More details to follow in the next few weeks.
Dances do not have an entry fee as currently we are not being charged for use of the venues. If you would like to volunteer in coordination, decoration or perhaps another way please feel free to reach out! These events are our way to support each other and bring our community together.

The Jumpin’ June Swing Dance Social is a tribute to days gone by. Take a trip back in time to the 1940s when dances were a part of our local culture.
Originally, the Reilly Arts building was the Ocala City Auditorium – a WPA project that was completed on July 4, 1940. Over the decades the auditorium hosted countless Ocala dances, proms, graduations, concerts and events. The Reilly continues this local legacy today.
