Memorial Day Camping Weekend Draft Agenda

Friday, May 23rd: Arrival for full-weekend campers; Dinner; Welcome Campfire

Saturday, May 24th: Breakfast; Hike Sugarloaf Mountain; Afternoon & evening activities TBD

Sunday, May 25th: Arrival of Beginner Campers; Workshops include:
- How to Put up your Tent (including the best way to use a tarp, all about stakes, what's a rain fly? etc.)
- Firebuilding 101
-Camp Cookery (learn to make satisfying yummy meals while camping)
- Knot or Not? (learn to tie various knots and learn which knots are best for which uses in the outdoors)
- Leave no Trace: principles and practice
- and more!
After dinner, we'll learn the art of foxwalking, and practice our skills on a night hike on park trails.

Monday, May 26th: TorahTrek with Rabbi Mike Comins. Join us for a special treat as Rabbi Mike Comins from TorahTrek in southern California leads us on a spiritual journey on the paths of Little Bennett Regional Park. We'll explore the connection between inner and outer geography, between the journey into the wilderness and the path of the soul. With laughter and song, through learning and discussion, his programs dance between the practice of Judaism, the written word of tradition and the exhilarating embrace of the natural world. TorahTrek offers participants a unique adventure in wilderness and spirit. NOTE: This event is limited to 30 people. Campers spending at least one night with us will get priority registration.
