Keynote Lecture: 40th Anniversary Year Of The Gropper Windows We are honored to welcome Elizabeth Baer, Professor of English at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. Dr. Baer is a scholar on subjects as wide ranging as women’s issues, the Holocaust, and modern day war and conflict. The subject of her lecture, “Art and Social Justice”, is particularly appropriate as Mr. Gropper was dedicated to bringing attention to the plight of the common man through his paintings, drawings, and satirical cartoons. Opening remarks will be made by David Sokol of Oak Park, Professor Emeritus at University of Illinois at Chicago and dedicated advocate of the arts. 2:00 pm; $10 suggested donation; students free with ID. Location: 1040 North Harlem Avenue River Forest, IL 6
