Directed by Evelyn Orbach and featuring visiting actor Max Wright. A young American pianist and former prodigy is searching for an escape from an artistic block. He has traveled to Vienna to a master professor only to have him send him first to an eccentric and difficult (but presumably brilliant) teacher of voice who insists that he must seek his answers within the profound musical message of Schumann's Dichterliebe. The journey is a difficult one, the relationship often adversarial, but the discoveries the search provides will have a lasting effect on both men, and perhaps provide the healing they both need.
