Francine and Abdallah Simon State of World Jewry Lecture: Tzipi Livni Tzipi Livni, one of Israel's most prominent and influential political figures, served as an officer in the IDF and later in the Mossad, before she, along with other prominent figures in Israel, formed the Kadima Party in 2005. In 2006 she was appointed Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and with the establishment of the Netanyahu government, she became leader of the Kadima Party and head of the opposition.
