The Newman Lecture: Oliver Sacks and Jonathan Weiner—On Longevity Oliver Sacks is the world-renowned neurologist and author, dubbed "the poet laureate of medicine: by The New York Times. His best-selling books include Awakenings, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, and Musicophilia: Takes of Music and the Brain. His most recent book is The Mind's Eye. He is a professor of neurology and psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and has been appointed as Columbia University Artist, a new designation at the university.
