5 Tuesdays in August, 2011 (August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30) DCJCC | Community Hall 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Total Cost: $85; Member/Senior/Under 25 $70 Instructor: Alvaro Maldonado Glee Dance is a beginning dance class that fuses Jazz, Broadway Jazz and Modern Dance to prepare you to learn exciting choreographies inspired by the TV show Glee. This is a 5-week class for adults with some or no prior dance training. A different song and choreography will be taught at each class.
Glee Dance is a fun, high energy class, ideal for Glee fans looking to learn basic dance vocabulary while getting a great workout! It maintains the percussive, rhythmic characteristics that define a Jazz class, but incorporates elements of Ballet and Modern Dance to give it a smooth, lengthened look and a Pop quality.
Attire: Dance shoes or socks are required, no street shoes. Fitted clothing recommended.
Alvaro Maldonado is the founding Director of Ballet Teatro Internacional Dance Company and BTI Dance Institute. Maldonado is also a producer, teacher, choreographer, and professional performer of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. He has performed Classical Ballet, Ballroom, Jazz and Contemporary Dance in over 30 countries.
