Foot Soldier of the Civil Rights Movement Wednesday, January 11, 2011 at 7:00pm The Barber of Birmingham: Foot Solider of the Civil Rights Movement focuses on Mr. James Armstrong. Armstrong’s Barbershop was a cultural and political hub in Birmingham, Alabama where hair was cut, civil rights marches organized and battle scars from police truncheons iced. This film links the struggles of past Civil Rights activists such as the Bloody Sunday March for voting rights with the unimagined election of the first African American president. $8 for Members and $10 for Non-Members. Space Limited.
