Registration has begun for the Spring JCC Karishim Swim Team at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton. Karishim is a competitive swim team open to boys and girls ages 6-17.

Registration has begun for the Spring JCC Karishim Swim Team at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton. Karishim is a competitive swim team open to boys and girls ages 6-17. Self-esteem, teamwork and sportsmanship are emphasized. Swimmers participate in US Swimming League meets held throughout New England. The swim team season begins on March 28. A three-day swim team trial, which is open to swimmers with no previous swim team experience, takes place March 28, April 3, and April 4 at the JCC. Please call for a try-out time. Experience in swimming is necessary and knowledge of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke is required. Cost for the trial is $40. The swim team trains at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC indoor pool and at Regis College in Newton. Registration is open to the entire community. JCC membership required.
