Learn to see and interpret the world around you in paint in a nine-week oil painting class at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton. Artist David Wells Roth will help you explore fundamental techniques of painting and utilizing color. Emphasis will be on understanding the use of light, value and form while developing drawing skills as a framework. Still life, photos and art of the masters will provide sources for projects.
