Beginner players will learn proper mechanics, footwork, grip and strokes at a five-week tennis class at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton.

Beginner players will learn proper mechanics, footwork, grip and strokes at a five-week tennis class at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton. Classes are offered Tuesdays, beginning July 2 from 9:30-10:30am. USPTA certified tennis instructor Doug Maynard, who has coached national junior champions and trained tourning pros ranked in the world’s top 30, will lead the class. Cost is $195.
