God Was in this Place

Wednesday, April 11, 18, 25, and May 2nd at 7:30 p.m. - God Was in this Place: How Jews Bring God into our Lives. Led by Rabbi Graubart, in this course, we will examine many Jewish stories, customs, sayings and texts which teach us how to develop a personal relationship with God. We’ll study Biblical tales, rabbinic commentary, Hasidic wisdom, as well as specific rituals. Three of the nine classes will focus on Kabbalah – the Jewish mystical tradition. We’ll also study some of the writings of Lawrence Kushner and Art Green – two modern mystical masters. This is a course for anyone interested in personal spiritual growth. No previous experience with Jewish study is necessary. Cost: Members $50, non-members $70.
