Ohr Shalom is a unique Synagogue offering a rich cultural blend of Conservative Judaism with a diverse international flavor that is found nowhere else in San Diego County. We are a warm, friendly and welcoming congregation. Today Ohr Shalom reflects the combined heritage of Beth Tefilah's deep San Diego roots, the multicultural flavor of Adat Ami (many of whose members followed her founding rabbi, Arnold Kopikis, from Argentina and Mexico to San Diego), and San Diegans new and old who have found their congregational home at the “new” Ohr Shalom.
