September 3, 2008 Spertus Entrance On September 3, the new Spertus building will be a site for artist Kurt Perschke's RedBall Project, an ongoing, mobile sculptural performance that has taken place in such locations as Busan, Barcelona, and Sydney. The RedBall Project functions as a series of daily installations in which a 15-foot inflatable red sphere is embedded within a city's urban environment and provides a point of interaction with people on the street. At Spertus, the ball will be lodged underneath the point of the architectural "skirt" of the building's dramatic glass façade. The RedBall Project is sponsored by Target and is part of the City of Chicago's Public Art Program. Visit www. for further information.
