From London’s East End to the Lower East Side: A Jewish Journey London’s East End is the cradle of British Jewry. From Rodinsky’s Room to the King of the Schnorrers to the Bespoke Overcoat, explore the past, present and future of the London’s East End through novels, poems, memoirs and Oscar-winning films. David Russell is a trustee of Kehillas Ya’akov, one of the last shuls in London’s East End, and a co-founder of the Jewish East End Celebration Society. He recently relocated to New York’s Lower East Side and is a docent at Eldridge Street. He is the director of The Social Enterprise, which advises nonprofit organizations.
