The 8-11 member company has since presented three full-length new york seasons (two at Ailey Citigroup Theatre, one at Joyce SoHo), as well as performances at the New York City Festival of Dance, Dance New Amsterdam's 'in the company of men' festival, Tribeca P.A.C.'s 'work and show' festival, the usdan concert series, the Ugandan Arts Benefit at John Jay College, and a well-noticed solo for Desmond Richardson, originally presented as part of complexions contemporary ballet's 2007 Joyce season.

dance-a-raoke [dans'uh-rôh'kç]

n. 1. An audience-participation dance improvisation “happening” in which players face the ominous Wheel-O-Miss Fortune in tests of stamina, wit, and willingness to move. Challenges may include but are not limited to: re-creating 30 seconds of a video clip; dancing a duet with a professional dancer; immediately creating and executing an impromptu dance to a song selected by the audience or even Miss Fortune herself. 2. A place where would-be dancers can emerge from the privacy of their living rooms to perform their here-to-fore unseen “grooves” to a song of their choice. Liquid courage available at the bar prior to and during the proceedings.

End the night with the chance to pick your favorite dance song and show off the awesomeness of your own apartment grooves.
