The Letters of Samuel Beckett

Martha Dow Fehsenfeld and Lois More Overbeck In 1985, Samuel Beckett authorized an edition of his letters to be published after his death, naming Martha Dow Fehsenfeld and Lois More Overbeck as editors. The first volume, spanning the years 1929-1940, was released in 2009. "The prospect of reading Beckett's letters quickens the blood like none other's," wrote Tom Stoppard. "One must hope to stay alive until the fourth volume is safely delivered."
