Jewish Environmental Festival Date: Sunday, May 09, 2010 Time: 1:00 PM In celebration of Mother’s Day on May 9th, join the Teva Learning Center and Sixth & I from 1:00 - 4:00 pm for a community-wide, family-friendly celebration of Jewish environmental values. People of all ages can engage with the Jewish principle of being shomrei adamah, caretakers of Mother Earth. Hands-on workshops led by Teva and local expert educators will give participants a toolbox of innovative ideas to green their Jewish home and community year-round. Workshops will be organized around four themes: Energy, Food & Health, Local Ecology, and Advocacy. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet local environmental organizations and key initiatives that are helping the DC-MD-
