350 Years of Anglo Jewry – South African Connections

Mon 1 Jan to Thu 29 Mar. 129-131 Albert Street, Camden Town, 80 East End Road, Finchley, London, NW1 7NB. Sara Priem, 0207 284 1997. The Jewish Museum, Finchley - [email][events]

Beginning with the migration of the first English Jewish settlers to South Africa in the 1820s, this exhibition explores the influence that the English colonial power had on the development of the South African Jewish community. However this influence has never been a one-way process and the exhibition also looks at some of the South African Jews who have had impact on Anglo-Jewry and on British society in general.
