Adam Gopnik is the author of Paris to the Moon, an account of five years he and his family spent in the French capital. He is also author of the children's book The King in the Window, and a new children's book The Steps Across the Water, set in New York, and in New York's even larger secret sister city of U Nork. Calvin Trillin has been a staff writer at The New Yorker since 1963.
