FILM ABOUT Jewish Female Comics AT JCC IN Newton – Making Trouble, a film that tells the story of six of the greatest female comic performers of the last century — Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wendy Wasserstein – will be shown at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Sunday, April 3 at 4pm. Rich in entertainment history, the film uses interviews with experts, scholars and entertainers as well as archival material and rare film and television clips to bring to life these female comedic legends. Four of today’s funniest women – Judy Gold, Jackie Hoffman, Cory Kahaney and Jessica Kirson – will host the event, gab about these comic pioneers and chronicle their careers. Making
