Community-Wide Chanukah Party & Potluck Shabbat Dinner

When: Friday night, December 3, 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Registration & hors d’oeuvres at 6:30, Kiddush & Motzi at 7:00 pm, followed by dinner, singing, fun, games, and night hike. What: Join us for a fun evening in celebration of Shabbat and Chanukah. Please bring a delicious covered dish. Mosaic will provide the latkes, desserts, and soft drinks. Bring your menorahs & candles if you’d like. Let's light the candles together, sing songs, and play dreidle. Later in the evening Rick will lead us on a night hike and nature walk, along with some stargazing if the conditions are right.

The entire park has been reserved for our party. Simpson Park is an amazing place where an entire forest has been preserved since 1913, right in the heart of Brickell. It’s only about 25 minutes south of the Ft. Lauderdale Airport, so it’s really easy to get to.

Directions: To get there, take I-95 south to exit #1A. At the end of the exit, you’ll come to a light on SW 26 Road. Turn left, as if you’re going to Key Biscayne. Once you turn on 26 Road, make your first left onto S. Miami Ave. Continue 10 blocks to SW 17 Road. The park is on your right. Limited parking is available at the park, so please try to carpool. Additional parking will be available nearby.

Bring: Please bring one of the following items based on the first letter of your last name. If you are assigned an appetizer, but won’t be able to be there on time, please choose another dish.

Cost: $12 for Mosaic members, and $17 for non-members. Cost includes drinks, desserts, latkes, Chanukah gelt, park rental, and everything else needed for the party.
