We will meet at the High Point State Park Cross Country Ski Center, 1480 State Route 23, Sussex, NJ 07461-3605, 973-702-1222 973-702-1222 , XCSkiHighPoint.com at 9:00. There will be 2 free guided tours from 11-12 and 1-2. We can try out both the snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Depending upon the number of people who come to the event, we may also take out the snowshoes and skis outside of this time for free. If there are too many people there, we will have to pay a rental fee to go snowshoeing (we won't go skiing, unless that's free) of: $19/$17 for a full day and $17/$15 for a half day. The trail fee is: $12/$11 for a full day and $11/$9 for a half day. The half day begins at 1:00 and the lower cost is for seniors (62+) and children (5-12). According to the website, "If you can walk, you can snowshoe". I went last year and can say that that statement is true! It is also a lot of fun!!

This is a kid friendly event for children, ages 5 and older. Wear layers of clothes. Bring an extra set of clothes in case you want to change. Pack a picnic lunch and water. Since we will be outside all day, you might want to bring some chapstick/moisturizer as well. There will be a $5 nonmember/unpaid member charge.
