Cities of Light Performance

On February 2 at 2:00pm Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center will be hosting a performance of Cities of Light: Jewish Cabarets in Europe, A One Woman Show featuring Rebecca Joy Fletcher.

This performance is sponsored by the Holocaust Memorial of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. It is the featured event in the Holocaust Memorial of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation's Holocaust Education Week. Cities of Light is a thrilling theatrical and musical romp through the Jewish cabarets of Berlin, Paris and Poland during the years before the war. This special performance will give the audience a glimpse of life before the devastation of the Holocaust. Rebecca Joy Fletcher is an acclaimed performer, cantor and scholar of Jewish Cabaret. Cities of Light premiered in 2009 at the State Yiddish Theater in Warsaw and has been performed from Los Angeles to London, Paris, New York City and also in the Festival of Jewish Theatre and Ideas.
