Film: Die Praesidenten (The President)

(2001) German with English substitles Die Praesidenten chronicles the reunification of two Holocaust camp survivors a half a century after being separated while living as young boys in the Riga Ghetto. Today, Steven Springfield is a retired businessman living in New York while Alexander Bergman, who after the war went on to a successful career as an attorney back in his native Riga, are both presidents of their local holocaust associations. Bergman, now in his 80's and still living in Riga, is the President of the Latvian Holocaust Survivor's Association.
