Author and educator Fradle Pomerantz Freidenreich recounts the rarely told story of Yiddish secular schools and summer camps during the first half of the 20th century. Close to 1,000 schools and 39 camps were established in America and Canada. Her book "Passionate Pioneers: Yiddish Secular Education in North America 1910-1960" will be available for purchase and signing.
