Author Bill Scheft, longtime writer for the Late Show with David Letterman, will help unlock the secrets of writing monologue jokes at a workshop at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton. How to Write Comedy will be held on Sunday, March 4 at 7pm. Scheft, author of four books including Everything Hurts, will discuss how to write a topical joke, critique your material, and provide an authentic glimpse into the world of show business.
