Two local authors, B.A. Shapiro and Maryanne O’Hara, will discuss their recent fiction at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Tuesday, November 5.
Shapiro’s The Art Forger is a New York Times best-selling novel about the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist that spans three centuries of forgers, art thieves, and obsessive collectors. She lives in Boston and teaches creative writing at Northeastern University.
O’Hara’s Cascade was a People Magazine Pick and Boston Globe Best of the New, 2012 that chronicles the life of a struggling artist in a fictional Massachusetts town. Her short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies.
Moderating the discussion will be author Tova Mirvis.
The event takes place at 7:30pm and is open to the entire community. The program is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Boston Jewish Literary Series. Cost is $8. Purchase tickets at www.bostonjcc.org/bookfair or contact 617-965-5226 or boxoffice@jccgb.org.
