Matthew Levitt will discuss his book Hezbollah: The Global Footprint of Lebanon’s Party of God at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Thursday, November 21 at 7:30pm. His book is the first thorough examination of Hezbollah’s covert activities beyond Lebanon’s borders. Full of previously unreported material, it provides a much needed assessment of the threat posed by the group today.
Levitt is Director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy’s Stein Program on Counterterrorism and Intelligence. Moderating the discussion will be Rob Leikind, Director of the American Jewish Committee in Boston.
Open to the entire community. The program is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Boston Jewish Literary Series. Cost is $8. Purchase tickets at www.bostonjcc.org/bookfair or contact 617-965-5226 or boxoffice@jccgb.org
