“According to our tradition, the history of the Jewish people began as the history of one family, the family of Abraham and Sarah. Over the years, going all the way to our own time, each generation has added a new chapter to that family history.” (TCC Bar/Bat Mitzvah service) Starting with the pre-history that describes the origins of the world and the human race, we’ll speed forward giving an overview of the different major periods of our history. We’ll end up with a review of the different phases of emigration to America and save time to share our own family journeys and stories.
