There will be an important informational on meeting April 11, 2007. For the first time in many years, the Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay is planning a dynamic trip to Israel with a pre-mission to Berlin. trip will take place Sunday, October 7 – Friday, October 19, 2007. According to Eileen Ruby, immediate past president, "The experience will educate, inspire and engage first-time visitors to Israel, as well as those returning after many years. It is an organized and well-thought-out-trip, and most importantly, it will give us the opportunity to build a strong sense of community in the East Bay and in Israel."

And, as Sean Mandell, Campaign Director notes, "It is our hope that we will have three buses or 100 people in Israel this fall."

Connecting with the East Bay Jewish community by experiencing Israel together

Getting updated on the current challenges facing Israel at high-level briefings

Exploring the Old City of Jerusalem

Welcoming Shabbat at the Western Wall

Helping to rebuild Israel’s Northern Galilee

Visiting the critically acclaimed and revamped Yad VaShem Holocaust Memorial Museum

Developing personal connections with our sister cities, Kiryat Malachi and Hof Ashkelon

Gaining exposure to Federation-funded projects in Israel through our overseas partners, the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC)

Traveling from the Negev to the Golan
