Rachel Zohar Dulin has a fresh approach to biblical stories. She sheds light on the heart and soul of the women of the Bible, breathing life into legends. Her passionate and evocative portrayals are infused with sorrow and joy, love and loss. Through her words and presence, we glimpse how each character might have come to grips with the challenges she faced, challenges that still resonate today.

Dr. Rachel Dulin is a dramatic, gifted educator who has pioneered new teaching methods and done groundbreaking research in women’s studies and biblical scholarship. Born in Israel, she received her PhD from Northwestern University. She is Professor of Bible and Hebrew Language at Spertus, and serves as Visiting Professor at DePaul and Roosevelt Universities in Chicago, and Concordia College and Moorhead State University in Minnesota. Her book of poetry and prose—Alive, Unabashed, & Passionate—offers an evocative portrayal of biblical women.
