letterboxing

TC: Cindy (attadot or 508-651-8394 before 9 PM) EVENT: Letterboxing is a mix of treasure hunting, art, navigation, and exploring interesting and/or scenic places. The basic idea is that someone hides a waterproof box somewhere (in a beautiful, interesting, or remote location) containing at least a logbook and a carved rubber stamp. The hider then writes clues to the box and posts them on http://letterboxing./. The hunter (that's us) finds the clues on the web site, and then proceeds to look for the box.

Once the box is found, the hunter leaves their mark in the box (by stamping in the logbook). They can also have their own personal logbook and they use the stamp that is in the box to mark their logbook. There will be one stamp for the group but feel free to bring your own if you want. Optional stop for coffee or snack after.

COST: $5 to park (per vehicle), $5 non-members + money for snack afterwards
