Sunday, June 8 TC: Richard Kline email: kline (work only) or 978 535-1903 before 9 PM EVENT: Join us for a walking tour of historic Salem, Massachusetts. Salem Maritime is the first National Historic Site in the National Park System, and was established to preserve the maritime history of New England. The site consists of 9 acres of land and 12 historic structures along the waterfront, as well as a visitor center in downtown Salem. We'll walk the half-mile length of Derby Wharf into Salem Harbor, visit historic neighborhoods such as the McIntyre District, the Derby Waterfront District and the Salem Common. Rain cancels.

RSVP: Requested but not required

MEET: 1:00 PM outside the main entrance to the National Park Service Visitor Center. Salem is served by the commuter rail line from North Station. Buses #455 and #450 go from Haymarket (Green and Orange Lines) to the Salem rail depot. Follow the signs for the short walk to the Visitor Center. Commercial Parking lots are nearby.

COST: $5 non-members
