This class is divided into two parts. Students can enroll in the full 2-hour session, OR just a one-hour segment as follows: 5:30-6:30pm: THE SPIRITUAL LIFE OF THE HEBREW LETTERS Kabalistic sages teach that, as with human beings, each individual Hebrew letter has a "guf" - body, "Ruach" - spirit, and "neshama" - soul. This class is open to ALL STUDENTS of ALL LEVELS. Textbook: The Wisdom in the Hebrew Alphabet by Rabbi Micahel Munk 6:30-7:30pm: MODERN ISRAELI HEBREW Reading, writing, speaking, vocabulary, grammar. Textbook: IVRIT ALFON -Hebrew Primer (Behrman House) 7:30-9:00pm - INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED HEBREW Our focus this year is on grammar, listening and speaking skills, as well as new vocabulary and MAGAZINE reading. You will be expected to do daily homework!
