Azar Nafisi is the best-selling author of Reading Lolita in Tehran and Things I’ve Been Silent About: A Memoir in Moments. She writes and speaks about the Islamic revolution in Iran and how it has affected her and women throughout the Islamic world. Nafisi is the director of the Dialogue Project at the Foreign Policy Institute of Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. She teaches courses on the relation between culture and politics.
