Just in time for Mother’s Day shopping, join the Spertus Shop for an exclusive TRUNK SHOW featuring collections by four outstanding jewelry designers. Sunday, May 3 from 10 am to 5 pm Each unique, sought-after piece by Israeli designer Dori Csengeri is hand sewn and beaded by experienced craftswomen using ancient techniques. Her high-fashion creations reflect her love of color and her explorations into traditional embroidery and textile design.
Jana Sobelmann is the creator of JanArt, an innovative art glass jewelry collection. Educated in Israel, Germany, Scandinavia, and the U.S., her diverse background inspires her pieces, each handmade of glass with both precious and everyday materials.
Marla Patinkin, recently profiled in Chicago magazine, makes jewelry of old coins and agate stones she finds through dealers and friends. Pieces feature Hebrew engraving or mystic symbols — pairing ancient traditions with cutting-edge design.
Chicago rising star Ali Pesche creates jewelry that blends classic and chic. Her collection — called Ali Precious — features delicate gems woven and wrapped into sparkling pieces that have received raves in the local and national fashion press.
Ali Pesche and Marla Patinkin will join us for this exciting event!
