Volunteers Sought for Hurricane Season: Orientation Session Tuesday, July 7 July 07, 2009 The Jewish Volunteer Center of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is embarking on a campaign to organize the Jewish Volunteer Emergency Response Team (JVERT), a data bank of volunteers who will be called upon to assist in the event of a hurricane or other emergency in our community. Volunteers of all ages are invited to attend a Volunteer Responder Training and Orientation session on Tuesday, July 7. A kosher lunch will be provided during the session at no charge. RSVP required.
