Get on board as Temple Jeremiah, 937 Happ Rd., Northfield, kicks off its 2010 Chai Society Concert series with the program, “Getting There is Half the Fun,” at 12 p.m., Wed., Jan. 13. The program will feature a repertoire of songs on transportation, including such hits as “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “Keep on Trucking,” “These Boots Were Made for Walking,” “Chattanooga Choo-Choo” and “Surrey with the Fringe on Top.” Cantor Amy Zussman, accompanied by David Lornson, will perform, while congregant Victoria Weisenberg will provide the narration. The concert is being offered at the discounted New Year’s rate of $9 per person or $18 per couple and includes the program, lunch and a donation to MAZON: The Jewish Response to Hunger.
