Joan Dye Gussow with Annie Novak: Growing, Older

Joan Gussow's journey to personal fulfillment through growing her own food after the death of her husband is chronicled in her new book, Growing, Older.

She'll discuss urban gardening, nutrition and eating sustainably with Annie Novak, founder and director of Growing Chefs, a field-to-fork food education program; the children's gardening program coordinator for the New York Botanical Gardens; and co-founder of Eagle Street Rooftop Farm in Brooklyn. Gussow is the author of a previous memoir, This Organic Life and is the Mary Rose Professor Emerita of Nutrition and Education at Teacher's College, Columbia University.
