Jordan Roth, moderator Patti LuPone is currently appearing on Broadway in the new musical Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown at the Belasco Theater and is the author of the recently published autobiography, Patti LuPone: A Memoir.
She is a two-time Tony Award winner for her performances in Evita and the recent critically acclaimed revival of Gypsy. Her most recent New York stage credits include Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd (both on Broadway and at the New York Philharmonic, when she made her debut with that orchestra), Passion for Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, the Broadway productions of Noises Off, The Old Neighborhood and Master Class, her one-woman show Patti LuPone on Broadway and three sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall. This spring she will make her debut with the New York City Ballet in its new production of Weill's The Seven Deadly Sins.
