Written and performed by Josh Kornbluth In collaboration with David Dower, Director Saturday, May 7 (8pm) Sunday, May 8 (2pm) Josh Kornbluth performs his new one-man show in which he considers the enigmatic pop artist’s commissioned paintings of ten Jewish luminaries, including Albert Einstein, George Gershwin, Golda Meir and the Marx Brothers. In wrestling with Warhol’s motives and style, Kornbluth uncovers his own religious identity and the spiritual dimensions of Warhol’s art. This is the story of one Jew’s discovery of who he is and where he came from…and the mysterious, elusive artist who showed him the way.
