Local author Dale Stanten will discuss her book, The Hooker’s Daughter: A Boston Family’s Saga, on Wednesday, November 2 at 10am at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton Street, Newton). A true story of survival, The Hooker’s Daughter takes place in 1950s Boston. Driven by a strong will and punctuated by illegal behaviors, the author examines her unconditional love for her mother, going beyond the socially acceptable and identifying the universal.
