Hurricane Sandy had a devastating impact on the New York area. Whole neighborhoods were destroyed. Families went weeks without power and resources. Now, a year later, how is the recovery coming? What has been accomplished, and what still needs to be done? Will we be any better prepared for the next one? TCC member Helene Lauffer will report on her experience as the Program Director for the New York State Disaster Case Management Program, operated by Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of New York.
