People OF THE Libretto: The Singer-Songwriter Edition

Previous editions of the People of the Libretto series have surveyed music heard on the biggest stages: Broadway musical theater, Hollywood movie music, and 1960s' pop music created in the Brill Building. This year, the focus moves to the more intimate art form created by singer-songwriters. Included will be songs by such legends as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Paul Simon, Carole King, Janis Ian, Billy Joel, Randy Newman, and Carly Simon. TCC members Rachel Dahill-Fuchel, Trudy Elins, David Klein, Jennifer Naparstek Klein, Kim Kramer, Joshua Nelson, Dan Wyman, and Michelle Lang Zalph will present commentary and sing some of the great songs created by these Jewish songwriters.
