Constructing a Legend Now through September 16, 2007 Louise Nevelson (1899-1988) is a towering figure in 20th century American art. She was recognized during her lifetime as one of America-s most prominent and innovative sculptors; and continues to inspire artists today through her pioneering installations and sculptures made of found wood.
