Our image and understanding of Bible stories, for better or worse, depends greatly on the last century's #1 storyteller: Hollywood. Inevitably, Hollywood's storytelling has colored our view not only of Biblical Israel, but of the Israel we know today. This class offers visual tours of the actual history of the ancient Biblical world -- and explores several landmark movies, their production and their stars (including the ubiquitous Charlton Heston).
