Goldman Some 60 percent of New York’s residents are either immigrants or the children of immigrants, making the city more ethnically and politically diverse than ever. New York Times reporter Joseph Berger brings alive the sights, smells, cuisines and people of the world’s most cosmopolitan city in a discussion that addresses issues of immigration while demonstrating that people live together in harmony.

For the past three years, award-winning New York Times reporter Joseph Berger has been writing features about the neighborhoods of New York. Berger is the author of Displaced Persons, which was a New York Times Notable Book. Ari L.
