What does it mean to honor one’s parents as they become elderly? How do we balance the needs of caregiving for others and for ourselves? This program will explore the practical and spiritual journey of caring for our parents as they are aging. Practical tools and resources will be offered along with reflections on the teachings of Torah, Talmud and Rabbinic scholars past and present. Joanne Peskowitz has been a medical social worker for two decades working with a variety of adult populations living with chronic and terminal illnesses. Her practice has focused on helping patients and their loved ones live with diseases with quality of life, dignity and finding healing. She has been a caregiver to her own parents and is the parent a child in the Eitz Chayim
