Congregation Betenu is a Reform Jewish synagogue of about 80 families in Amherst, New Hampshire. Betenu is an affiliate of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ: formerly, the UAHC) (URJ), the umbrella organization for Reform Judaism in North America. Most of the members of Betenu are Reform Jews, but a number of the founding members were Reconstructionist Jews. The general attitude of the congregation is that of inclusiveness of varying Jewish experiences in addressing the needs of modern life.
